<itunes:summary>Today on the show, Jim joins Craig Sewing on the air to discuss how he’s helping a listener that contacted Craig over the weekend for a reverse mortgage. Craig asks Jim about his feeling on his alma mater, Penn State, and what’s gone on there. Jim and Craig also discuss the Super Bowl commercial with Clint Eastwood and the controversy it has caused. The show ends with Jim mentioning some of the common misperceptions about the reverse mortgage and dispels them with some simple, straightforward ways to discuss the program, including discussing with friends and family!

Announcer: And now, live in studio, bringing you a fresh voice different
from the disconnected talking heads in the media, he's an award-winning
entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert, and
he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market, your host, Craig
Sewing.

Craig: Welcome, and thank you for tuning in to the Craig Sewing Show.
It feels great to be back. Hope you enjoyed the show yesterday
with Gary Quackenbush and Dave Elhoff, great financial managers
there who were able to deliver that message. I tuned in to a
little bit of the show, and those guys are just a wealth of
knowledge. It's so nice to be partnered with guys that you can
trust when it comes to growing your assets, as well as
eliminating those debts. It's why we set up those resources at
CraigSewing.com, C-R-A-I-G-S-E-W-I-N-G, CraigSewing.com.

I'm getting a lot of inquiries from those of you who are
underwater wanting to understand this HARP program, the loan
modification, how to avoid foreclosure. These are all very
important things. Real estate's your biggest investment.
Obviously, the market's turned on you, but there are a lot of
options right there at your fingertips. You just can't make
mistakes on this stuff. So, if you have questions on any of
that, make sure you do reach out to me at CraigSewing.com. Hope
when this show's up you live a better life. And certainly,
understanding some of these complicated issues one of my
priorities here.

So, over the weekend I'm hoping that you had a chance to catch
the Super Bowl. Much to my dismay, at least from a betting
standpoint, because I like to make little, small bets to make
the game a little bit more enjoyable to watch, the Patriots, not
only did they not cover their three point spread, they lost the
game. Paul Drivus [SP], our sports analyst, where did I go
wrong?

Paul: You bet on offense beating defense.

Craig: That was such a tough line, though, minus three. I didn't like
it one bit.

Paul: That is not a gambler's line. For that game, that is not the line you
wanted.

Craig: Usually, if a team could win a game, which the Giants obviously
had a good chance to be able to win that game, and you get
points, you should probably bet the other way.

Paul: Yeah.

Craig: I thought the Patriots would win in a close game, and a close
game would be 4, 5, 6 or 7 points.

Paul: Yeah.

Craig: I was wrong. So, I lost that one, but I nailed everything else.

Paul: Nailed all your [profits]?

Craig: Head or tails, Kelly Clarkson went over by a minute and 34.
She's like a minute and 35. Did you know that? That over and
under on the. . .

Paul: She barely covered on that one.

Craig: It was tense.

Paul: Yeah, Vegas was sweating at the end of the song.

Craig: Won the kickoff being returned out of the end zone. That, I
thought, was an easy one. Paid great odds there.

Paul: Yep.

Craig: So, lost a little bit. Overall, the NFL season, I finished in
the green, so we've got to celebrate that. But a pretty good
Super Bowl. Historically speaking, not one of the greatest
games.

Paul: No.

Craig: Certainly a good game, lot of dropped passes for the Patriots.
A lot of things have happened after the game, you know, a lot of
controversy now. You have Gis-, what's her name?

Paul: Giselle Bundchen.

Craig: Giselle,</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Todd Ausherman, co-founder of Legacy Reverse Mortgage and Real Estate Attorney, joins Craig Sewing in studio as a co-host to discuss the GOP political race. The two go over each of the four candidates and examine their strengths and weaknesses. Craig and Todd delve deep into the mudslinging that is going on between the GOP frontrunners Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney and dissect whether or not this hurts the GOP’s chances in the general election. The two real estate professionals discuss a recent article about the reverse mortgage program and why reverse mortgages have yet to hit the mainstream. The show ends with a discussion of reverse mortgage testimonials and Todd gives some examples of how reverse mortgages have helped the listeners of Craig’s show.

entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert and
he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market. Your host, Craig
Sewing.

Craig: Thank you for tuning in. Got a big day today. The Florida primary
kicks off. You have about a half million people participating in an early
polling right now. Looks like Mitt Romney is going to win the Florida
primary on top of the past primary that he won in New Hampshire, making it
seem more and more obvious that he's going to be the leading candidate.

Of course, Newt Gingrich continues to say that he's going to stay strong,
he's going to be the conservative voice of the Republican party while
Romney is what he calls a Liberal Republican. So not sure really what his
point is there, but he's going to obviously claim the more conservative
stance. He's got backing from guys like Todd Palin, Herman Cain, Michael
Reagan. So, he's probably not going to do very well at the conclusion of
this Florida primary, and the question you've got to ask yourself as a
voter, as an American citizen is: do you believe that this process needs to
be stretched out?

Now, the way that this has all been structured going into this year was
very different than past years in that it was designed to take longer. In
other words, if you screwed up, you had more time to recover. If you pulled
a Rick Perry and you forgot a word, you've got a chance to fix it. Of
course, Rick Perry, a couple of debates later talks about how Iranians are
moving into Iraq literally at the speed of light. Another (doh) moment, but
the whole point of the process is, no matter what's happening out there,
these guys are in interviews and debates each and every day. This gives
them chances to recover and really stretch out the process.

Now, the question you have to ask yourself is do you believe that's good
for the country or bad? And the reason you might think that it's bad is
there's a lot of negativity coming out. Joining me in the studio here is
Todd Ausherman of Legacy Reverse Mortgage. Todd, how are you doing, man?

Todd: Doing great, Craig. Great to be back.

Craig: So, we've got some clips here I want to get your comments on
regarding the negativity that you're seeing out there. Personally I think,
given all that we've seen in this country, people are dealing with real
problems. It's why we set up CraigSewing.com for real estate, debt
management, financial planning, certainly reverse mortgage, which is what
you specialize in.

Todd: Yes.

Craig: And it seems like all the inquiries that we're getting through the
website are solution type. You know, there's opportunities right now in the
market, the HARP program, you can refinance. Pretty much, if you have
anything over 4 ½% on a mortgage, whether you have equity in your home or
not, you should reach out to me at CraigSewing.com and see what your
options are. C-R-A-I-G-S-E-W-I-N-G.com. Pretty much if you own a house, you
should visit me at CraigSewing.com but that's an opportunity.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Todd Ausherman, co-founder of Legacy Reverse Mortgage, co-hosts the Craig Sewing Show in studio with real estate expert Craig Sewing. Todd often joins Craig in studio to offer insight into current events, the economy, real estate in general and the reverse mortgage program. In this installment, Todd and Craig discuss the GOP debate that took place the prior night leading up to the South Carolina primary. As both Todd and Craig are entrepreneurs, the two discuss venture capitalism and the role it plays in the economy, specifically in reference to Mitt Romney and Bain Capital. The subject of reverse mortgages is brought up and Todd discusses the history of the program and how it is helping baby boomers and retirees in today’s economic landscape. The show moves on with two continuing to dissect the GOP debate and ends with a discussion of why now is such a good time to be exploring a reverse mortgage.

Announcer: And now, live in studio, bringing you a fresh voice, different

entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert and
he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market, your host, Craig
Sewing.

Craig: Welcome and thank you for tuning in. It is January 17th,
another day of rationalizing some of the rationale out there,
bringing you a common sense approach to your life. Co-hosting
the show with me today is good friend, Todd Ausherman. Todd, how
are you doing?

Todd: Doing great, Craig. Thanks for having me in.

Craig: Three day weekend, how was it?

Todd: Oh, it was great, great, a lot of football. I would have liked the
weather to have been a little bit more cooperative on Sunday and
Monday, but if that's all we have to complain about . . .

Craig: Screwed up your golf game.

Todd: Yeah, exactly, if that's all you have to complain about, that's not
too bad.

Craig: San Diego, California, you've got to have a few days that are
mediocre, I guess.

Todd: Yes. Tis the season, too. It's usually this time of year that we
start to see a little bit of gloom.

Craig: I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri, so seeing a few cloudy
days really doesn't bother me a whole lot. I appreciate Gary
Quackenbush stepping in and hosting the show yesterday. Got a
lot of inquiries through craigsewing.com, C-R-A-I-G-S-E-W-I-N-G,
craigsewing.com, of people wanting to know how they can get out
of debt. Gary considers himself a financial solution attorney,
which he definitely is.

If you find yourself in debt starting this year off, whether
it's credit card debt, you have the tax man coming after you,
you owe more than your house is worth, a quick call to Gary is
always a good idea. So that's what I really tend to do when I
get these inquiries through craigsewing.com is just call Gary.
He'll help you, 855-MY-GQLAW. So I do appreciate him stepping in
on Martin Luther King Day, which we certainly want to give a
salute to Martin Luther King, Jr. as that is a hero in modern-
American time.

Last night we had a big debate. I think it was the 117th debate
in the last four weeks.

Todd: At least.

Craig: This one was put on by Fox News. We've got a lot of clips here
that we're going to comment on. What did you think of the
debate?

Todd: I thought that it was pretty standard. We're starting to get so used
to these things. There weren't really a whole lot of surprises.
I didn't really think that there were too many gaffes, as we've
seen in the past. There were obviously, a lot of attacks on
Romney.

Craig: You mean the Rick Perry gaffe?

Todd: Oh, yeah. That was the best one. That one was classic, but I think it
was good as far as that goes. Nobody really put themselves into
too much hot water. Obviously, Mitt was under fire from his
adversaries there as they're trying to kind of move him back in
the polls and gain stronger footing themselves.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Todd Ausherman, co-founder of Legacy Reverse Mortgage, joins Craig Sewing in studio to discuss politics, current events, and of course, reverse mortgages. Todd, just returning from a trip to New Orleans, discusses the chaotic atmosphere of the Crescent City as it played host to the 2012 Sugar Bowl, a New Orleans Saints NFL Playoff Game, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game – all within one week and during the weekend Todd was visiting the city. The two then begin discussing the upcoming New Hampshire primary and the mudslinging that has erupted as of late in the GOP race. Craig asks Todd some pointed questions on the Reverse Mortgage program and Todd gives a run down as to how Reverse Mortgages work. Getting back into politics, the two discuss a recent Chris Christie speech and how he responded to OWS hecklers. The two discuss the potential of a Romney / Christie ticket and how that may fare against an Obama / Clinton ticket the race for POTUS. Todd and Craig end the segment discussing the benefits of the Reverse Mortgage program and give some real scenarios of how the Reverse Mortgage has helped the 62 and over community.

Craig: Welcome, thank you for tuning into the Craig Sewing show. It's
January 10th, another day of common sense thinking, another day of being a
financial resource for you. A quick reminder, when it comes your real
estate needs, your debt management or your financial planning, there are
great resources for you outside of the show we developed specifically for

without coffee. I made it all year so far, Paul. It's pretty exciting.

Paul: That's pretty impressive.

Craig: If you look at my cup right now, I'm drinking a, let's see what
we've got in here, celery, carrot, and spinach juice.

[Voice: Come on Craig Man.]

Craig: I don't feel any better either.

Paul: Okay. I'm trying to, as one of my New Year's resolutions, to cut down
on the caffeine. I'm trying to slowly make the transition from soda into
green tea.

Craig: It's a good move.

Paul: Yes. It's working so far. I tried making the switch completely in the
past and that didn't work that well. I'm trying, this time, to slowly
transition myself.

Craig: Soda is just really bad for you. Green tea is actually good for
you.

Paul: Honestly, the caffeine that I get out of the soda, I get out of the
green tea as well. I've had green tea in the past and I really like it.

Craig: Green tea enhances your metabolism. It's an antioxidant and is
very good for you. I support the decision.

Now, I've got a lot of New Year's resolutions myself. I'm running a
13-mile run on February 22nd. ToughMudder.com supports our wounded
warriors. If you want to join that, go to ToughMudder.com. You'll see me
out there. Thirteen miles in the mud with obstacles. I'm going to be doing
that.

My goal is to read 24 new books this year, two books a month, one
book every two weeks. I've broken it down to about a chapter every night.
That's not bad. My goal is to finish one of my books.

Overall, my New Year's resolution is to just have a military mindset.
The brave men and women of our military have the strongest characters of
anyone on the planet. To have a military mindset to do things that are
right, making the right decisions.

When you look at that soda, drink the green tea. For me, drink this

<itunes:summary>Todd Ausherman, co-founder of Legacy Reverse Mortgage, joins Craig Sewing in studio on the Craig Sewing Show. Todd and Craig begin the segment re-capping the recent UFC bout between Alistair Overeem and Brock Lesner and move the conversation into a discussion of the UFC business model. Next, the two real estate professionals discuss reverse mortgages, and specifically the common myths associated with reverse mortgages. Todd then talks about a holiday season testimonial from a Legacy client illustrating the profound effect the reverse mortgage program has on the lives of those who have reverse mortgages. The conversation moves into a discussion about the NFL, specifically the woes of the San Diego Chargers and the upcoming NFL playoff field. Todd then talks about the dangers of waiting to obtain a reverse mortgage and gives some instances where waiting too long can ultimately lead a potential reverse mortgage client to be disqualified from the program. Todd and Craig end the segment discussing the top celebrities of 2011.

Announcer: And now live in studio, bringing you a fresh voice, different
from the disconnected talking heads in the media. He's an award winning
entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert. And
he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market. Your host, Craig
Sewing.

Craig: In a brand new year. Welcome 2012. Thank you for tuning in to
Craig Sewing show. I'm your host, Craig Sewing, here. We're
syndicated in San Diego this year. Committed to making this your
best year yet and how are we going to do that? I'm going to
continue to break through the media pollution that you see out
there.

We're going to follow these elections. We're going to be talking
business. We're going to be talking about real life
opportunities in the marketplace. Real life solutions. We're
going to have fun. We're going to break through all these
headlines and it's going to be a good year. It's going to be
your best year yet.

This has been such a crazy world that you found yourself in
since 2007, and I compare it to just not knowing where your
ground is. I play softball from time to time and I'll play first
base, and there's times when there's a ground ball to the other
side of the field. I'll try and run over to first base and you
can't find first base with your right foot and you're trying to
look for the ball coming at your face and you're looking for
first base on your right foot. It's a very lost, lonely feeling.
But we're breaking through that this year. I feel like America
has found its base. And that'd be more the economy than anything
else. The uncertainty, you still got these troubles in Europe
and you still got tough employment numbers, and we don't know
who the next leader of this country is going to be. And there's
a lot of frustration with the current state of politics.

At the end of it all, you live one life and I'm committed to
help you win that life, whether it's those opportunities that
exist out there or the solutions. Just because we're coming out
and things are getting better doesn't mean you're necessarily in
the best financial position. Maybe you have debt, maybe you are
like one in three homeowners who owes more on their house than
it's worth. Just know that there's always a resource for you
outside of the show as well.

All right. The best two ways to get in contact with me if you
need any financial advice, especially when we're talking about
things like real estate, debt management, financial planning. If
you go to CraigSewing.com. C-R-A-I-G-S-E-W-I-N-G.
CraigSewing.com or you can call our off hour number. I've got a
new number, this doesn't bring you into the show. This is where
you can leave me a message, let me know a little bit about your
situation. Either I will personally help you, or I will connect
you with someone that can. Call 866-9SEWING. S-E-W-I-N-G. 866-
9SEWING. Paul,</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Todd Ausherman joins Craig Sewing on the Craig Sewing Show in studio to cohost the second half of the show. Craig and Todd have some fun discussing the Tim Tebow phenomenon before moving onto more serious matters. Craig relays to Todd a story about a reverse mortgage detractor whom he had interacted with. Todd explains that people often fear what they do not understand and there are many that do not understand the reverse mortgage program. Todd goes on to explain why the program is not something to fear but should be embraced as a tool. The two also discuss the Republican presidential race and end with a discussion of Steve Jobs and his legacy.

Announcer: And now, live in studio bringing you a fresh voice different from the disconnected talking heads in the media, he's an award winning entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert, and he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market, your host, Craig Sewing.

Craig: Welcome, thank you for tuning in to the Craig Sewing Show. I am your host Craig Sewing. Thank you, Gary Quakenbush for subbing in for me yesterday, a great show. Gary, helping you our listeners everyday eliminate your debts, protect your credit, such a great job he does subbing in for me; a little random. I tuned into the show a little bit.

Gary tends to bounce around quite a bit, but at the end of the day his goal is to always help you live a better life and much of it has to do with eliminating your debts. I just want to remind you going into the new year, if you find yourself in a tough debt situation, if you owe more than your house is worth, you're trying to figure out what you need to do going into 2012, you call Gary, 855-MY GQ LAW. It's the best call you can make going into the new year 855 MY GQ LAW.

I hate missing my Mondays because that gives me the opportunity to play Monday morning quarterback, water cooler quarterback. So our Chargers came out, won again.

Dan: 37-10, not even close.

Craig: I didn't catch the game and that's because I was bouncing around so much on Sunday. Please tell me the game wasn't blacked out, was it not on?

Dan: The game was blocked out.

Craig: Okay, that's what I thought because I looked for it and then I went to grab a bite to eat and I didn't see it there either.

Dan: Yep.

Craig: This whole idea of blacking out a football game.

Dan: It's like punishing the fans.

Craig: It's just not rational. How are you going to grow interest in a football team if you don't play the game?

Dan: I don't get it.

Craig: It doesn't make any sense. So they can't sell out the stadium, well why don't they auction off the remaining tickets. I don't care if you have to sell these things for $2, but no matter what you're not going to develop a culture on your football team if you're not playing the games, people are going to lose interest. It doesn't make any sense at all. Not to mention going to those games, yeah, there's 17 different fights as you're walking through the parking lot and getting in and out of that parking lot, it's the worst parking lot in of sports.

Dan: Yeah, and plus you've got the guy behind you spilling his beer all over you.

Craig: I don't mind a little bit of rowdiness, I mean, come on, who are you talking to here? But in the end it's like I don't understand why you would not play the game for the people that couldn't attend. Maybe they went to church, maybe they wanted to have a barbeque, maybe they have kids and don't want to bring them to the rowdiness that are Charger football games, whatever it maybe how does it make any sense to promote the football team and the culture of the San Diego Chargers when you don't play the game?

This whole blackout thing, I mean, it's absurd. Anyway, so I didn't get to watch the game, but it looks like we kicked their butts.

Dan: It was vintage Philip Rivers; you know, the good one from last year that passed for tons of touchdowns.

Announcer: Now, live in studio, bringing you a fresh voice different from the disconnected talking heads in the media. He's an award-winning entrepreneur, business coach, author, real estate and finance expert and he's dedicated to teaching you how to win in any market. Your host, Craig Sewing.

Craig: Welcome and thank you for tuning in to the show. I am your host Craig Sewing. Biggest topic of the day is Herman Cain, again. The question is, is did he do it? We've been asking this for a few weeks now. If you've been tuning in to the show, you know that I've said that he probably did something with the woman 15 years ago. To what degree? He didn't break the law. If anyone should be offended, it should be his wife. It's an inconsequential matter when you're talking about running for president in 2012.

Now since then, Cain's presidential stock has been crushed and then yesterday we have a new case. We have Atlanta businesswoman Ginger White who claims that she had a 14-year affair with Cain. She claims she knew Cain was married and the relationship was inappropriate. She said she ended the affair just about eight months ago just when potential presidential candidate Herman Cain cut it off with her and showed some text messages and things along those lines.

My question to you is should this matter? Well, first of all it doesn't matter because Herman Cain is done. You can stick a fork in his candidacy. He might stick around for a while. Be interesting to see if he pulls out who he throws his weight behind. If you're a candidate, let's talk honestly here, if you're Mitt Romney or you're Newt Gingrich who seem to be leading in the polls and doesn't seem like that's going to change any time soon, do you even want him to throw support behind you? That's a question that these guys have got to really ask themselves.

My question to you is, as a listener of this show, is this even important to you? Does this matter? Should it matter if something like this happens? Now let's be very clear here. Let's be objective. Herman Cain still has not broken a law. He didn't rape anybody. He had an affair. He had an affair. Bill Clinton, remember him? He did it in the Oval Office.

You talk about guys like Herman Cain, Republican. Guys like Bill Clinton, Democrat. All these other sexually related stories that come out amongst politicians, athletes, actresses, does it really matter to you? Do you care? Let's get rid of the actors and actresses. Let's talk about someone running for president. Should this be a point of debate? This was actually brought up in the last Republican debate by one of the commentators. The question is, is should it matter? Should his presidential stock be tanking the way that it is? Does it mean he's not fit to be president?

Now, in my personal opinion, it doesn't really matter. Stuff that happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom. In Herman Cain's example, if his wife's not mad at him then you shouldn't be. The truth is, is it's going to affect him. He really doesn't have a prayer of becoming president anymore. This is just more tarnish on his name.

Now, I do have a problem with the fact that he's lied to the American people. What would you do in this type of situation?</itunes:summary>
