US News and World Report recently put together an article summarizing its findings of the seven secrets to a happy retirement.  These findings are based on an array of research including that out of the University of Greenwich, the University of Maryland as well as a multitude of other studies and sources.

Specifically, the article runs down the list of:

1) Good health

2) Significant other

3) A social network

4) Television addiction

5) Intellectual curiosity

6) Achievement addiction

7) Enough money

Regarding number 7, enough money, the article points out that maintaining the same amount of money for spending during retirement should be on par with one’s pre-retirement lifestyle.  As the need for this last secret continues to mount in a worsening economy, many seniors may find the relief they need from the many options available through a reverse mortgage.
